Review this week's message.

Key Thought:

When you're under attack, you got this!

Start talking. Find a conversation starter for your group.
  • It's Friday night after a busy week, how are you spending it?
  • If you were stranded on a deserted island, what 3 items would you want with you? (there's no wifi on the island, by the way!)
  • If you could ask God to change one problem in the world today, what would it be?

Start thinking. Ask a thoughtful question.
  • “If something or someone is hurting you, don't feed it.” If there is a situation or person in your life that came to mind when you heard that phrase, what boundaries do you need to create to protect yourself?
  • How can we have boundaries while still loving people? Yes, it is possible.. Jesus did it!

Start sharing. Choose questions that create openness.
  • Think of an area in your life that you're being attacked in. Share it with the group.
  • How can this struggle increase your capacity? How can you create bigger boundaries in this area? Who do you need to talk to about supporting you in this area? Talk through it with your Lifegroup.

Start praying. Be bold, and pray with power.

Jesus, remind me today that even if I'm doing all of the right things, I may still be attacked. Give me the strength and wisdom to keep going in the purpose you have for me!

Start doing. Commit to a step and live it out this week.

You just talked through ways that you can grow your capacity, put up bigger boundaries, and create a support team to help you through the attack you're going through. Put those plans into action this week!

Scriptures

After Hezekiah had faithfully carried out this work, King Sennacherib of Assyria invaded Judah. He laid siege to the fortified towns, giving orders for his army to break through their walls.  2 Chronicles 32:1 NLT

“I told you these things so that you can have peace in me. In this world you will have trouble, but be brave! I have defeated the world.”  John 16:33 NCV

When Hezekiah realized that Sennacherib also intended to attack Jerusalem, he consulted with his officials and military advisers and they decided to stop the flow of the springs outside the city.  They organized a huge work crew to stop the flow of the springs, cutting off the brook that ran through the fields. For they said, “Why should the kings of Assyria come here and find plenty of water?” They organized a huge work crew to stop the flow of the springs, cutting off the brook that ran through the fields. For they said, “Why should the kings of Assyria come here and find plenty of water?” 2 Chronicles 32:2-4 NLT

Then King Hezekiah and the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz cried out in prayer to God in heaven.  And the Lord sent an angel who destroyed the Assyrian army with all its commanders and officers. So Sennacherib was forced to return home in disgrace to his own land. And when he entered the temple of his god, some of his own sons killed him there with a sword.  2 Chronicles 32:20-21 NLT
