Review this week's message.

Start talking. Find a conversation starter for your group.
  • What is your favorite restaurant right now?
  • What book are you reading right now? What podcast are you listening to?

Start thinking. Ask a thoughtful question.
  • "If you are totally confident in what you're doing, you're not doing anything new." It's easy to get set in your ways and stop trying new things! What is one thing you would like to try that is out of your comfort zone?
  • Choosing humility means being okay with not knowing it all. How can we become students again in order to better ourselves?

Start sharing. Choose questions that create openness.
  • To do what God has for you, you'll have to let go of offense. Is there anyone in your life that you need to forgive in order to move forward?
  • Pick one (or multiple) of the “5 qualities that need to live or die for our dreams to flourish” and tell the group how you are applying it to your life?
    • Let generosity live
    • Let self-promotion die
    • Let boundaries live
    • Let negative emotion die
    • Let forgiveness live

Start praying. Be bold, and pray with power.

Jesus, thank you for the ability to move forward and grow. Thank you for a new day to glorify you with my life. Amen!

Start doing. Commit to a step and live it out this week.

"Seek wisdom and apply it toward your goals" Think of three resources that can help you achieve your goals (these could be books, podcasts, people, etc.) Write them down and utilize them this week.

Scriptures

“Now, O Lord my God, you have made me king instead of my father, David, but I am like a little child who doesn’t know his way around.  1 Kings 3:7 NLT

And here I am in the midst of your own chosen people, a nation so great and numerous they cannot be counted!   1 Kings 3:8 NLT

Give me an understanding heart so that I can govern your people well and know the difference between right and wrong. For who by himself is able to govern this great people of yours?”    1 Kings 3:9 NLT

“..I applied my heart to seek and to search out by wisdom all that is done under heaven.”  Ecclesiastes 1:13a ESV

The Lord was pleased that Solomon had asked for wisdom.  So God replied, “Because you have asked for wisdom in governing my people with justice and have not asked for a long life or wealth or the death of your enemies—I will give you what you asked for! I will give you a wise and understanding heart such as no one else has had or ever will have!  And I will also give you what you did not ask for—riches and fame! No other king in all the world will be compared to you for the rest of your life!  And if you follow me and obey my decrees and my commands as your father, David, did, I will give you a long life.” 1 Kings 3:10-14 NLT

If you’re a crook in small things, you’ll be a crook in big things.  If you’re not honest in small jobs, who will put you in charge of the store?  Luke 16:10-11 MSG

Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us..   Ephesians 3:20 NAS
