Review this week's message.

Key Thought:

What do you do when God shows you the promise, but all you can see is a wall?

Key Quote

“Sometimes God will give you a glimpse of what’s behind the wall to give you the drive to pursue it.” – Pastor Mason Cornelius

Start talking. Find a conversation starter for your group.
  • What’s the funniest thing that’s happened to you recently?
  • What’s your ultimate dream vacation spot?
  • If you could walk around any city in the world for 7 days straight, where would it be and why?

Start thinking. Ask a thoughtful question.
  • How do you think Joshua felt stepping into leadership after Moses? Have you ever had to follow someone great?
  • Why do you think the wall falling wasn’t just about strategy, but about obedience and trust?

Start sharing. Choose questions that create openness.
  • Who has been a “Moses” in your life—someone who led, mentored, or prepared you for where you are now?
  • Have you ever struggled with imposter syndrome when God gave you something big or called you to lead?
  • What would it look like for you to march in obedience, even if you don't yet see the wall falling?

Start doing. Commit to a step and live it out this week.
  • Who has helped lead me to this point in my faith journey, and how can I honor their impact in my life?
    • Reach out to your “Moses” — someone who has poured into you, led you, or mentored you — and thank them. Whether it’s a text, call, or note, take time to honor them for the foundation they helped build in your life.

Scriptures

Now the gates of Jericho were securely barred because of the Israelites. No one went out and no one came in. Then the Lord said to Joshua, “See, I have delivered Jericho into your hands, along with its king and its fighting men. March around the city once with all the armed men. Do this for six days. Have seven priests carry trumpets of rams’ horns in front of the ark. On the seventh day, march around the city seven times, with the priests blowing the trumpets. When you hear them sound a long blast on the trumpets, have the whole army give a loud shout; then the wall of the city will collapse and the army will go up, everyone straight in.” Joshua 6:1-5 NIV

Now Moses used to take a tent and pitch it outside the camp some distance away, calling it the “tent of meeting.” Anyone inquiring of the Lord would go to the tent of meeting outside the camp. And whenever Moses went out to the tent, all the people rose and stood at the entrances to their tents, watching Moses until he entered the tent. As Moses went into the tent, the pillar of cloud would come down and stay at the entrance, while the Lord spoke with Moses. Whenever the people saw the pillar of cloud standing at the entrance to the tent, they all stood and worshiped, each at the entrance to their tent. The Lord would speak to Moses face to face, as one speaks to a friend. Then Moses would return to the camp, but his young aide Joshua son of Nun did not leave the tent. Exodus 33:7-11 NIV

Then Moses climbed Mount Nebo from the plains of Moab to the top of Pisgah, across from Jericho. There the Lord showed him the whole land—from Gilead to Dan, all of Naphtali, the territory of Ephraim and Manasseh, all the land of Judah as far as the Mediterranean Sea, the Negev and the whole region from the Valley of Jericho, the City of Palms, as far as Zoar. Then the Lord said to him, “This is the land I promised on oath to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob when I said, ‘I will give it to your descendants.’ I have let you see it with your eyes, but you will not cross over into it.” And Moses the servant of the Lord died there in Moab, as the Lord had said. Deuteronomy 34: 1-5 NIV
