Review this week's message.

Key Thought:

How does the way I see things affect my faith, my future, and my ability to trust God?

Key Quote

"You won't experience provision without opposition." - Pastor Mason Cornelius

Start talking. Find a conversation starter for your group.
  • What’s one of your worst summer vacation stories?
  • What is the very first thing you would do after winning a million dollars?
  • What is one thing you would like to do this year that you have never done before?

Start thinking. Ask a thoughtful question.
  • How can overestimating the enemy lead to underestimating God’s power?
  • What does it mean that we need “character” when things get hard?

Start sharing. Choose questions that create openness.
  • Are you listening more to fear or to God’s promises right now?
  • What “bad reports” have you allowed to influence your perspective, and how can you challenge them with truth?
  • How might your situation change if you changed the way you looked at it?

Start doing. Commit to a step and live it out this week.
  • Where do we need to change our perspective to match God’s this week?
    • Pray, write it down, and take one step of faith toward it.

Scriptures

When they reached the Valley of Eshkol, they cut off a branch bearing a single cluster of grapes. Two of them carried it on a pole between them, along with some pomegranates and figs. That place was called the Valley of Eshkol because of the cluster of grapes the Israelites cut off there. At the end of forty days they returned from exploring the land. Numbers 13:23- 25 NIV

But the men who had gone up with him said, “We can’t attack those people; they are stronger than we are.” And they spread among the Israelites a bad report about the land they had explored. They said, “The land we explored devours those living in it. All the people we saw there are of great size. We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.” Numbers 13:31-33 NIV
