Review this week's message.

Key Thought:

The entire Gospel can be explained in just one verse.

Key Quote

“When the student is ready, the teacher appears” – Pastor Bil Cornelius

Start talking. Find a conversation starter for your group.
  • Are you an outdoors or indoors person?
  • What would be the first thing you would buy if you ever won the lottery?
  • If you were to be stranded on a deserted island and only had one thing on you, what would you want that one thing to be?
  • Who is someone you admire and look up to?

Start thinking. Ask a thoughtful question.
  • What does it look like to accept Jesus Christ as your Savior?
  • What are some reasons people reject Christianity?
  • What are some different pieces of evidence discussed in the message supporting Christianity? How do these impact our belief and faith?
  • Why is it significant that people have a longing for eternity?

Start sharing. Choose questions that create openness.
  • How would you explain the Gospel to someone who doesn't know Jesus?
  • Tell the group about your salvation experience.
  • What are some doubts you have had about God? Remember, it’s ok to have doubts!
  • Why do you continue to choose to follow Jesus today?

Start praying. Be bold, and pray with power.

Dear Jesus, I believe you died on the cross for me and rose again from the grave.  Please forgive me for my sin and come into my heart. I repent of my sin and make you my Lord and Savior. Thank you, Jesus, for saving me. Amen.

Start doing. Commit to a step and live it out this week.

If you haven't ever received Jesus, then let today be the day you accept Him!

It’s ok to have doubts – take your doubts to God and study His Word for answers.

Pray and look for an opportunity this week to share the Gospel with someone.

It is beautiful how God has done everything at the right time. He has put a sense of eternity in people’s minds. Yet, mortals still can’t grasp what God is doing from the beginning to the end [of time]. Ecclesiastes 3:11 GW

For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.  Romans 1:20 NIV

"At just the right time, I heard you. On the day of salvation, I helped you." Indeed, the "right time" is now. Today is the day of salvation. 2 Corinthians 6:2 NLT

Here is the gospel (good news) in one verse:

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23 NIV

For the wages of sin is death... Romans 6:23a NIV

There is no one righteous, not even one. Romans 3:10 NIV

All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away. Isaiah 64:6 NIV

...but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23b NIV

"Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."

Romans 10:13 NIV
