Review this week's message.

Key Thought:

God is calling you to reach a summit and see your Promised Land.

Key Quote

“Your goals should not be based on how big you are, but on how big God is.” - Ps. Bil Cornelius

“God’s not looking for your ability. He’s looking for your availability.” - Ps. Bil Cornelius

Start talking. Find a conversation starter for your group.
  • What is your favorite city to visit, and why?
  • What is a hiking adventure you remember well?
  • What’s a goal you achieved that you were proud of?
  • If you had to only eat one type of food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Start thinking. Ask a thoughtful question.
  • Why should we believe that we can do mighty things with God’s help?
  • How can we help our children see God in a fresh, new way?
  • What does it look like to have “now” faith?
  • How does God encourage and empower His people to live out their calling?

Start sharing. Choose questions that create openness.
  • What are your three summits to reach for God?
  • What are some mighty things you will pursue with God’s help?
  • What are some things in your life where you need to use “now” faith?
  • How are you going to help reach the harvest of winning 1 million people to Christ?

Start praying. Be bold, and pray with power.

Dear Jesus, thank You for showing us our purpose and direction. I pray that we have the faith and courage to follow in that direction. In your name we pray, Amen.

Start doing. Commit to a step and live it out this week.
  • Continue to pray for God to convict your heart with a purpose to serve Him by serving others. Pray for Him to reveal your three summits!
  • Spend intentional time in prayer and reflection to seek how God has set you apart from the world.
  • As a group, hold each other accountable to everyone bringing one person to church with them next weekend.
  • Commit one hour to prayer this week.

Scriptures

Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. Hebrews 11:1 NIV

Then they will make the teaching about God our Savior attractive in every way. For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people. Titus 2:10b-11 NLT

With God’s help we will do mighty things… Psalm 60:12a NLT

“But watch out! Be careful never to forget what you yourself have seen. Do not let these memories escape from your mind as long as you live! And be sure to pass them on to your children and grandchildren. Never forget the day when you stood before the Lord your God at Mount Sinai, where he told me, ‘Summon the people before me, and I will personally instruct them. Then they will learn to fear me as long as they live, and they will teach their children to fear me also.’ “You came near and stood at the foot of the mountain, while flames from the mountain shot into the sky. The mountain was shrouded in black clouds and deep darkness.” Deuteronomy 4:9-10 NLT

So Israel conquered the entire area from Aroer at the edge of the Arnon Gorge all the way to Mount Sirion, also called Mount Hermon. Deuteronomy 4:48 NLT

Mt. Hermon means “Sacred Mountain” (sacred: holy, set apart for a specific purpose)

Six days later Jesus took Peter and the two brothers, James and John, and led them up a high mountain to be alone. As the men watched, Jesus’ appearance was transformed so that his face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as light. Suddenly, Moses and Elijah appeared and began talking with Jesus. Peter exclaimed, “Lord, it’s wonderful for us to be here! If you want, I’ll make three shelters as memorials—one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.” But even as he spoke, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my dearly loved Son, who brings me great joy. Listen to him.” The disciples were terrified and fell face down on the ground. Matthew 17:1-6 NLT
