Review this week's message.

Key Thought:

What is God asking you to release in order to step into the purpose He has for you?

Key Quote

“Forgiveness isn’t forgetting, it’s releasing.  You can’t step into your future while dragging your past with you.” -Pastor Bil Cornelius

Start talking. Find a conversation starter for your group.
  • Would you rather always have to sing instead of talk, or dance everywhere you go?
  • You just won a lifetime supply of the last thing you bought. What are you now stuck with forever?
  • What song or worship track always lifts your spirit when you're going through something tough?

Start thinking. Ask a thoughtful question.
  • What are some “idols” (habits, mindsets, people) that we may need to leave in the Kidron Valley?
  • What helps you keep moving forward when you’re emotionally or spiritually exhausted?

Start sharing. Choose questions that create openness.
  • Are you waiting for the pain to disappear before pursuing your calling? What might happen if you moved forward with the pain?
  • If someone else were walking through what you are right now, what would you tell them? (And is that what you need to hear too?)

Start doing. Commit to a step and live it out this week.
  • What is one area of your life where you’ve been stuck in the "Kidron Valley" — holding on to pain, betrayal, or regret — that God is asking you to walk through and release?
    • Write it down, name it in prayer, and symbolically let it go — whether that means journaling and tearing out the page, writing a letter you never send, or physically releasing something.
