Review this week's message.

Key Thought: The Book of Revelation points to the end of life as we know it, but the beginning of something so much better.

Key Quote
“Don’t become bitter. Become better.” Pastor Bil Cornelius

Start talking. Find a conversation starter for your group.
  • What is the best reward you ever received? How did you earn it?
  • What’s your favorite brand of clothes, shoes, etc.?
  • If God let you choose one restaurant to bring into Heaven, what would you choose?
  • What is your dream vacation?

Start thinking. Ask a thoughtful question.
  • What hope does the promise of eternal life bring?
  • How does God use difficulties to test us?
  • What are examples of things that will burn in the end times? What will last?
  • What are some things we can do for the kingdom of God today?

Start sharing. Choose questions that create openness.
  • How is the devil temping you? What areas of your life do
  • you need to strengthen?
  • What are you doing to bring heavenly rewards?
  • How do you tell other people about your favorite restaurant, movie, tv show or hobby? How can you apply that passion and approach to inviting people to church?
  • Tell the group about a time you won against the devil. Then unpack what that means for your current situation.

Start praying. Be bold, and pray with power.
Dear Jesus, thank you for loving us. While the devil has an expiration date, we have the promise of eternal life with You. Help us invite others to experience your love at Church Unlimited by giving us opportunities to invite people who don’t know you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Start doing. Commit to a step and live it out this week.
  • God has prepared rewards for us in heaven based on the work we do here for His kingdom. Bring someone to church this week. Commit to serving at church if you are not doing that already. Make tithing and offerings a part of your lifestyle.
  • Ask God to “lend you his eyes” so you see everyone you meet through the perspective of salvation. Ask him to burden your heart for those who don’t know him, so you can be the one to “cure” their eternal “cancer” and lead them to Heaven.
  • Identify a family or couple in your neighborhood and bring them to the Better Together series so they can get a set of free mugs and see that life really is better together. Then, invite them to your LifeGroup so they can see how you’ve become better together as well.

Scriptures

Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven with the key to the bottomless pit and a heavy chain in his hand. He seized the dragon—that old serpent, who is the devil, Satan—and bound him in chains for a thousand years. The angel threw him into the bottomless pit, which he then shut and locked so Satan could not deceive the nations anymore until the thousand years were finished. Afterward he must be released for a little while. Revelation 20:1-3 NLT When the thousand years come to an end, Satan will be let out of his prison. He will go out to deceive the nations…He will gather them together for battle—a mighty army, as numberless as sand along the seashore. And I saw them as they went up on the broad plain of the earth and surrounded God’s people and the beloved city. But fire from heaven came down on the attacking armies and consumed them. Then the devil, who had deceived them, was thrown into the fiery lake of burning sulfur, joining the beast and the false prophet. There they will be tormented day and night forever and ever. Revelation 20:7-10 NLT And I saw a great white throne and the one sitting on it…I saw the dead, both great and small, standing before God’s throne. And the books were opened, including the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to what they had done, as recorded in the books…all were judged according to their deeds…And anyone whose name was not found recorded in the Book of Life was thrown into the lake of fire. Revelation 20:11-15 NLT Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the old heaven and the old earth had disappeared…and I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven…I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, “Look, God’s home is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people ...He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.” And the one sitting on the throne said, “Look, I am making everything new!” Revelation 21:1-5a NLT No longer will there be a curse upon anything. For the throne of God and of the Lamb will be there, and his servants will worship him. Revelation 22:3 NLT “Look, I am coming soon, bringing my reward with me to repay all people according to their deeds. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.” Revelation 22:12-13 NLT
