Review this week's message.

Key Thought:

When we live the right way in God’s eyes we will be truly satisfied.

Key Quote

“It’s not about what you can gain. It’s about who you can become.” Pastor Bil Cornelius

Start talking. Find a conversation starter for your group.
  • If you could sit down and have dinner with one person from the past who would it be?
  • What was your favorite hobby as a kid?
  • What is something you are most proud of in your life?
  • Out of breakfast, lunch, or dinner which meal is your favorite?

Start thinking. Ask a thoughtful question.
  • Why do you think Jesus placed so much emphasis on humility in the Sermon on the Mount?
  • Why is doing the easy thing often not the right thing?
  • How can remaining calm help you endure your stressful situation?
  • How does your perspective change when considering that humility is at the core of keeping your composure?

Start sharing. Choose questions that create openness.
  • Would you say that you’re good at keeping your composure when frustrated? Give some examples.
  • Talk with the group about a time that you chose to do the right thing even though the wrong thing would have been easier?
  • What would change in your life if you focused on who Jesus called you to be instead of getting what you want?
  • How can you give your frustration to Jesus and rely on Him in times of frustration?

Start praying. Be bold, and pray with power.

Dear Jesus, thank you for showing us what it looks like to be calm, cool, and collected, but also bold, intentional, and just. We want to do the same. In your name we pray, Amen.

Start doing. Commit to a step and live it out this week.
  • Doing the right thing shows humility, integrity, and patience. If there is an area of your life that you’ve been taking the easy way out, share with your LifeGroup and make a decision today to begin living with intentionality to grow in that area.
  • It is always a good time to show a simple act of kindness to others. This week go out of your way to bless someone once each day.
  • Spend intentional time in prayer this week asking God to help you develop patience!
  • Create a “God pocket” with your group to bless somebody this week!
